I started knitting these hats up for friends of ours who had a sweet little baby boy on Halloween, but I just finished them this week! Um…oops. I did knit him a different hat that got delivered in a timely fashion at their baby shower, lest you think I’m a completely inconsiderate oaf. : )
These will go into the gift pile for future babies, of which there will be many, I’m sure! I’m at the age where everyone I know seems to be producing little people at a brisk rate.
Patterns: Magic Coffee Baby Hat by Tracey Kay and Barley by Tin Can Knits (both free!)
Yarns: Plucky Knitter Sweater in the Honey Wilkes color way and Miss Babs Yowza! Whatta Skein in Field Mouse
Needles: Size 7 US
I love them, especially the gray and mustard-y stripes, and the little loop on the Magic Coffee hat!
You know I usually don’t like the color yellow, but this one which you call mustard goes great with the greyish yarn. I’m sure anybody who will receive these will be happy with them!
Thank you! I have a bit of a love affair with that mustard color. : )
Such sweet hats! I love the color combo too.
Thanks so much for the kind comment on my hats! : )
Those are so cute. So good to see you blogging again.
